Pangalatok or Ilokano?

Urdaneta, despite being a city of Pangasinan, has more people who speaks Ilokano than Pangalatok. As a fellow Pangasinense, I think we should teach students in the Elementary and Highschool Level the Pangalatok dialect. That is in order to preserve our culture and so that we may also inherit the language to the next generations. Although I myself cannot speak the dialect, I can still understand most of it.

I do respect other people's choice of language or dialect. Being able to speak many language or dialect is better. But as a Pangasinense, I think we should encourage, focus, and develop more programs on teaching Pangalatoc to the students and the young people at an early age.
